What is up with that Denver team? First Demaryius Thomas and now Ronnie. Man, that is rough.

We joked about selling our souls for that Super Bowl since the franchise has been an unmitigated disaster since then.

It didn’t have to be like this though.

Yeah the Russell Wilson debacle is a lighthearted way to say Denver sold its soul and throw some jabs at broncos fans. This is just depressing

I mean we’ve been bad since that Super Bowl. Went 9-7 with Trevor Siemian the year after then Kubiak left and it’s been bad QBs, coaches, and rosters since then.

It appears the type of kidney cancer he had mostly affects those with sickle cell traits. I wonder if he had the sickle cell trait.

Sickle cell.along with thalesemia was an evolutionary trait to protect against malaria. 1 allele gives you protection against malaria, 2 alleles gives you sickle cell

SkinniestPhallus t1_j1b9156 wrote

That's such an unfortunate genetic trait. There's a larger chance you get protected from malaria, but there's a lesser chance you also get sickle cell. Fucking brutal. Out of curiosity does having the allele twice provide stronger protection against malaria, the same level, less or none at all?

I believe having sickle cell anemia actually makes your chances of surviving malaria worse

Insane man, that broncos team has lost two key players from their runs. The diagnosis and death was so quick man, makes me tear up.

Man... This hit me hard... Life can be short and we don't know when it will end. I lost my grandpa to cancer, but I can't imagine losing someone in their 30s or lower to it.

I hope the family gets the counciling and help they need.
