Is the goal to end up in Brazil? Hope he accomplishes this incredible task, every time someone goes out to sea alone like this, it always ends poorly

He is finishing in Miami. The path he is taking southwards is strategic to get into the water current that would ease up the 2nd part of the trip. He was researching this possibility for 2 years and preparing for the last year in Lithuanian lakes and Baltic sea daily. Hopefully he will end up alright. The boat he is in was purchased from Jasmine Harrison. She went through a similar trip at 2020 Talisker Whisky Atlantic Challenge. That distance is 3000mi (4800km). Aurimas is taking a different path that creates a bigger arc.
Edit: typos

I gotta be honest, if I made a trek like that, I’d have a super hard time selling the boat

OTOH, if you spent 3 months in a boat, probably wouldn't want to even look at it lol
