Reply to comment by whatsthehappenstance in [Adam Schefter] Sources: The Arizona Cardinals fired head coach Kliff Kingsbury, who 10 months ago signed a contract extension through the 2027 season. The Cardinals still never have had a head coach - any head coach - last longer than six years while the team has existed for over 100 years. by B0rtles

We always are, always have been, and as long as Bidwill remains always will be

You went to the Super Bowl in 2009. As a Lions fan, respectfully, shut up. ;)

We were rebuilding from the Leinart + Kevin Kolb experiments at that point - somehow the stars aligned to have warner and fitz on the same team at the same time and kept them both healthy. we rebuilt for that one glorious season. that was it
but yeah all respect to the lions fans - you guys dont "rebuild" - you just kinda fester

True. There were many envious/incredulous Lions fans comparing the franchises after that year, like wtf?! They were supposed to be just like us!

After this season though, I think my Lions are on the upward. I've been a fan since the mid 80s when I was a kid. This is one of the toughest squads I've seen since the Sanders-era.

To be fair, i just wish the Lions could win a playoff game. The Super Bowl is a pipe dream

I’m almost 30 and they haven’t won one in my lifetime. It’s insane. It’s been 30 years with countless different coaches and players, and they’ve never even managed to be above average.

I'm 43 and the 1991 NFC Championship feels like a lifetime ago. I think we have a real shot next year though. Five of our losses this year were by one possession. We beat Aaron Rodgers twice. It feels like a different mentality. A couple years ago, they wouldn't have won this last game in GB. They would have fucked up that 4th down conversion. Goff has totally changed my feelings on him from the start of the season.

As a Steelers fan, our 8 game rebuild was devastating. I feel bad for so many other teams' fans now that we've felt their pain.

8 game rebuild counts as feeling their pain? Is that pain because you haven't won a title since 2008? Maybe it's because you haven't had a losing season since 2003? You haven't felt shit. Please stop acting like that pain somehow is the same as ours.

Who is the best coach you’ve had? This comment reminded me that the Cards had a close loss in the Super Bowl.

I mean without a doubt Buddy Ryan was the best AZ coach ever....but we went there with Wisenhunt who just so happened to luck out on Fitz and Warner somehow at the perfect time cause he was NOT a great coach

I’d throw Bruce Arians in there too. Brought them to a Super Bowl
Delicious-Picture995 t1_j3njcw4 wrote
No he didn’t, the furthest they got with Arians was a trouncing by the Panthers in the NFC championship. Still, he’s my favorite cardinals coach of all time

It was one of the worst Super Bowl teams ever. I believe they were 9-7 with a negative point differential

Idk if we have ever NOT been in rebuild mode lol. Last year was our one lucky shot and cliff blew and Kyler turned into an absolute diva
