Edit; Solution found!!

I’m going to be passing through Springfield tomorrow (moved out of state last year) and I’m looking for a place I can store a few Christmas presents for someone to pick up a couple days later. We were supposed to meet up tomorrow on my way through for a hand off but now we will be missing each other by a few hours so I need a way to leave the packages behind. I CAN mail them, but they’re heavy and breakable since I had not planned on mailing them and now I’m scrambling for the best way to get the presents to my family! I’m hoping someone knows of a locker rental or something like that.

Any tips are appreciated.

Ok this is probably the most interaction I’ve ever had on this sub 😂😂

To clear it up for everyone thinking I’m moving drugs across the state (!), it’s perfume and those diffuser things! I was going to be meeting my mom on the way through to give her everyone’s presents but now she’s not able to meet that day and I’m afraid all that glass would break if I shipped it.

Anyway…. I called around and UPS said I can basically ‘ship it’ from their location to the same location and my mom can just grab it this weekend.

I don't want to just assume the worst, every time I read an honest plea for assistance.. but this post sounds a lot like a classic package drop off / delivery scheme I've read about on /r/scams. Just say'n.

I just told my husband that this post blew up with response like this and now he’s teasing me relentlessly.

The Christmas presents are a mix of perfume, candles, and diffusers because I hadn’t intended on shipping them and now I’ve been scrambling for how to get them to their destination without breaking everything in transit!

But I did have luck with UPS. So all good now!

Could try a FedEx or UPS office they might allow it

Thanks for the tip! I reached out to UPS and yes! They did have an option to basically ‘ship it’ from their store right back to it and just hold it for pick up. I’m just happy not to have to ship it out of state. I thought for sure it would all break (lots of glass) in transit.
