Earlier this year, I made a post about a blog I'm writing for the local coffee shops here in Springfield Missouri. Recently, I wrote a short review of Echelon Coffee, a relatively new coffee shop. Check it out here.

I love Big Momma’s and Green House Coffee & Affogato Bar. They’re both delicious! Also Kingdom Coffee is wonderful as well

I wonder how dependent the taste is on the employees. I was there a week ago for the ozarks coffee trail. My cousin told me their lattes were milky, and I can confirm my matcha latte was overwhelmingly milky. My wife got a hot chocolate and it tasted a bit subdued. She once got me a cold brew and it wasn’t the best I’ve had, it wasn’t terrible, but just a tad bitter. And then my sister got a chai latte and the cinnamon or ginger was so strong that it irritated the back of our throats and we coughed almost after every sip. The atmosphere is great and would definitely just go to read and study, but I wish I had a different drink experience.
I think this place seems to vary a lot more than some of the other more popular coffee shops. I’ve been here a few times and it’s almost exactly a 50/50 split on if it was delicious or I felt like I wasted my money.
I got an iced caramel lattee, pretty diffetent from Chai or Matcha. That could be the reason 🤷♂️
Roots. Best breakfast burrito in town. Get jalapeños added and a side of gravy.
Black Lab downtown has a nice vibe. Coffee is good too. Smooth.
I’ve never tried this place! Makes me want to go check it out and have a burrito.

Darkstone right across the street is locally owned and far superior as far as flavor. 7 brew and Echelon are hot garbage in my honest opinion. Mudhouse, Roots, Kingdom and Big Momma’s are all worth a try if you are including food. Love the blog Pixel!
Architect on E Republic road! It’s a super cute space, and has the nicest people who work there. I’ve been in so much they remember my name and all know me.🤣 Its where Hebrews coffee was!
I've been to Architect a few times, fantastic place. I haven't done a piece on them yet so I'll go back to them sometime this week and write one!
