My father had a stroke a few years ago, since then I've been his sole caretaker. His condition has only worsened since then and it's gotten to the point where I am unable to care for him while also trying to hold down a job. I'm in the process of transitioning him but I need to consult a lawyer to get his PoA and other legal issues. I've been researching local elder law attorneys, but cannot find any solid reviews for these people. So I'm coming to you SFG, do you have any recommendations for elder law attorneys?

I’m sure you’ll get a ton of names but I highly recommend Sativa Boatman-Sloan. She is great and so is her team.

Coming from someone who used to work in the senior care industry, Sativa is an excellent choice.

I second this as well. Really glad I made the choice I did when I needed help

Make sure he has transfer on death on anything that can be applied to. Bank accounts, car titles, etc... this helps keep his assets in the family most, if not all the time. Had to do this with grandparents and father

Rachel at Fortified Elder Law. She has a great deal of experience and just just recently opened her own practice.
