I usually bring my plastic ice scraper, it works better than the knife and doesn't scratch the signs, but I forgot it in my car this time.

Yeah. Good call. You can pocket just a little plastic putty knife too. Works great for that kind of stuff.

I've been carrying one of these with me. It's a replaceable plastic razor. Myriad of uses around the house also.
