I wonder what this spells for the platform. Lots of creators had issues with YouTube itself but have said good things about dealing with her individually

People would have the worst thing to say about her I recall

Hopefully she takes the nebulous, selectively-enforced content policy with her. Godd riddance.

People are sucking her dick but she's CEO. She has overseen what YouTube is becoming.

Thank goodness, she’s overseen the corporatization and censorship that has screwed over creators, deprived viewers of quality content, and only benefits advertisers and celebrities.

YouTube in it’s current state is nothing more then a glorified corporate shill, it used to be a place for creativity and fun.

Do you think they’re gonna replace her with someone at all different?

Google rented a house from her back when the company fit in a suburban house. She's done most of a decade at YouTube. I could see this move being much more about her than about the company. She's put in her time.

She's worth about 3/4 of a billion. She can do whatever she wants at this point. I assume Google paid rent in shares or she got into one of the early funding rounds.

This was surprising. Marissa Mayer and her had a lot of beef back in the day. She is also why Marissa quit Google and went to Yahoo as CEO.
