That dude was bordering on securities fraud on a daily basis with the type of shit he would say and promote in that sub. The current mods are by no means any better, but Reddit was right to remove that guy.

There's clearly no legal basis here. Reddit is a private company and can ban anyone they want for virtually any reason. Not to mention the fact there WAS reason in this case.

yeah, he's gonna lose that lawsuit no question.

but. as a moron who bet on gamestop when it was at like sub $10 and road that shit to the moon, was a hell of a reddit to be on during it's peak. some of the memes were fucking epic. and learned a lot about losing money fast gambling on stonks. but also... have more money saved that i ever have as an adult. so win some lose some

People get banned from reddit every single day.

This guy is as dumb as I expect from being a mod on WSB. I'd only think less of him if he was a mod on Conservative or Wallstreetsilver.

I wish him to win because even though I don't care about WSB, I'd love to have this precedent set.

With the incoming IPO Reddit will probably close a bunch of subs that are not advertiser friendly, and I'd like the site to get all the shit it deserves for whoring itself out.

That's not a legal basis for anything.
