NASA really needs something that's not Crew Dragon and can ferry humans. Not because Crew Dragon is bad but because they really don't want another Space Shuttle type fuckup.

Oh I get that for sure. I’m not an expert but I get the impression that Boeing is way too caught up in its own Bureaucracy. They’re still developing products like they did in the 1960’s; lack of innovation and spend, spend, spend. That model is dead and buried.

Crew Dragon is getting a lot more reliable than Space Shuttle at least. The F9 itself maintains an absurd launch cadance and the upper stage itself is relatively simple.
