No, it’s definitely not because there’s no insurance or benefits and contractors pay sec employment taxes. It actually ends up saving them a ton money while they exploit people for cheap labor.

In Australia you need to pay 30-40% more for contractors.

Fairly common for many people to contract Especially in technology.

So 150k employee would get paid around 1000 a day as a contractor.

What are you talking about. Highly skilled contractors make bank in this country, more than enough to offset no insurance and benefits. Not to mention all the tax write offs you don't have access to as a W-2.

How much is medical insurance? It's high deductible anyways so it's really unused for most young workers.
