Lots of engineers. This is quite a storm cloud. This will give CFO’s a lot of clout. Many contractors will be let go. Also lots of third party suppliers software licenses will be cut by tech companies and every possible tech overhead cost. Fixed cloud costs will be cut by on-siting on-prem clouds. If they can’t meet payroll 18 months out this will happen.

My authority? BSCS, MSIS plus decades in the industry.

Microsoft is working with OpenAI now. Probably they have access to GPT4 which has resulted in a tremendous increase in developer productivity and they are reducing the manpower because same amount of work can now be done by fewer people.
