Anyone else feel this way? Love the series, probably one of the most well made shows in history. The fact that it was able to convey so much weight and drama using such little dialogue and exposition was remarkable and fascinating to me. Although this created a much slower pace and required patience, it always paid off. I still never liked Buscemi in that role, however.

I have to disagree - I thought he played it perfectly.

Disagree wholeheartedly. This was the best role of his career.

I have the opposite feeling, that show had a murderous row of great actors but didn’t know what to do with them.

At first. I knew the actual guy was huge. But after a few episodes, I was good

It's his best role for sure.

But I know what you mean. I wasn't buying it in the teasers and stuff I saw before the show aired.

And it did take me a bit to buy in but yea.. it's his best role

Yep. And Buscemi was out of place on The Sopranos. He needs to be more Mr. Pink, he's not a convincing tough guy (even if he's a real tough guy considering his firefighting experience.)
