CBS playing it safe with what (usually) works for them. Though it borrows a bit from Castle, also involving a mystery writer.

I love Castle (i’m a sucker for procedurals and Nathan Fillion) so i’m all for this!

So Help Me Todd is a hit because of the fun family dynamic. Seems practical to me to keep duplicating it. I'd watch it.

Step #1 : if a 'drama' get a new name. This reminds me of 'The Groovy Ghoulies'
