I thought it was pretty funny in general, and I don't mind that change. Music videos aren't as huge a part of pop culture as they used to be, and a lot of that space has been taken by TikTok/YT.
It's not as good as either of the two movies, and I never watched much of the original series, but I enjoyed it a lot.
I assume it was a licensing thing. They can get permission to use these smaller content creators' clips forever for not a lot of money.
In the past they had the ability to use music videos and MTV/Viacom content for the initial airings, but could never put them on DVDs or run them in later years.
As someone who watched the original series the entire time it aired, I thought the new season was hilarious.
What part?
Well, since I said I think the new season was hilarious, that would infer I thought most of it was funny.
Good to know you're that easy.
Welp, THAT is the PC world we live in today.
Too many whiners whined and threatened advertisers if they didn't get their way and now have THIS, a watered down and sanitized version of what was once a great concept, ruined by all the thin-skinned whiners of our world.
I'm gonna go out on a limb and guess OP wants a specific example so they can say "nope, not funny, idiot"
What's the cure?
Haha, I assumed
I know right? I must be your mom.
Find advertisers that can stand up to cancel culture.
