  1. Do yourself a favor and watch For All Mankind.

  2. You're not totally wrong. As a whole, I dislike Apple. But I originally got a free trial to watch Greyhound (not bad either) and then explored some other stuff. My opinion of the service has always been similar to yours in that I thought they really lacked significant content. But I also knew, as you said, much of their stuff contains visually pleasing cinematography, etc. So in a way, I kinda respect that (that hurt a little bit to say).

Ironically, I've tried a few times to get into The Expanse, and I just couldn't. I know it's me because everyone raves about it (kinda like I do about For All Mankind), and that makes me sad because I really want to like it.

Don't feel that way, I'm one of the only people who loved Apple's foundation show

I get down voted for my critiques on here it's just the more I watch the service the more I'm convinced it's for hard core aficionados of the art of creating good television and not for casual viewers. And I fear the average is going to go over their heads, which leaves them with Netflix. It reminds me a bit of Paramount Plus which is another service I struggle with, but watch for similar reasons. It's quality over quantity and most people don't respect that approach.

We certainly are a dumbed-down society, aren't we?

We are.

Biggest critique of this service is that they don't have a legacy catalog. I don't think that is an issue. I was around for a lot of the legacy content that the services ran by the networks and cable TV stations own and to be honest, it was not that good. I don't want seventies, eighties and nineties content I want something new.

If you're looking to relive those days or you're a young person watching stuff from then vicariously this may not be the service for you. Better to push forward than live in the past.
