Agree to disagree, but they had fantastic chemistry. Two young, artistic burnouts craving approval from their respective father figures. Both wanting to be better but coming up short.

I think it meant he “wasn’t trying to wake her by cooking”. Jesse was no wordsmith. Foreshadowing as well. Kind of great writing.
