I saw Time After Time in the theater back in '79. Warner played an exquisite Jack the Ripper opposing Malcom McDowell's HG Wells. He was able to create fear just through the strength of his acting.

He truly had presence - I can’t think of a single role where he didn’t come to the forefront and leave an impression.
