For me, Brie Larson. I'm a fan and really want to see her play a really unlikeable Olivia Mossbacher-esque character. Or someone who eventually sells out their principles.

"I've recreated the entire set of the white lotus to rehearse for our rehearsal for the white lotus, with the cast from season 2 standing in as the cast of season 3."
This comment is gold haha
if nathan fielder was casted in white lotus i would be so happy
As Nathan Felder, like he’s more of a side character who just tries to make the other characters uncomfortable and breaks the fourth wall a little
This is the correct answer.
Tim Heidecker
Tim Robinson
Tim Robbins
Tony Robbins.
Baskin Robbins
Braums
Johannes Brahms

Robin quivers
Robin Thicke?
Craig Robinson
He used to be a piece of shit.
People can change.
You want to see her in a steamy sex scene
yes but that's not the point here
Honestly for as important as sexual relations are to the plot of White Lotus, and it being a hit HBO show, there really aren’t as many sex scenes/nudity as I would have expected. Alexandra Daddario and Sydney Sweeney were criminally underused!
Criminally used would be illegal.
Lol.
Yes both have shown the goods and nan are they good!
I mean, White Lotus isn't really known for those. S2 had them, but that was the theme of that specific season.
That said, yes.
Season 1 didn't not have them. With the anilingus and what not.
Yeah but that was played for chaotic and comic effect, not eroticism
Well, there is one with her i think
Jeff Goldblum would be fun or Bryan Cranston.
GOLDBLUHM!
“Hmmm... ahhhh
It appears that...
I’ve been ahh uhmm
Stabbed. Would you like a uhm
Throat lozenge.”
Jennifer Coolidge, with a crossover with The Walking Dead.
Oooh, look, a zombie. He looks kinda like...my ex. Yeeeahhh.
Steve Coogan. Rachel Brosnahan. Randall Park. Timothy Oliphant. Laura Prepon. Tim Roth
Holy hell
It’s Olyphant
Laura Linney would make a great guest, or invert the trope and make her the resort manager.
Full Wendy Byrd mode hotel manager
Spoiler: in the extras the show writer said he's working on it being themed on death, taking place in south Asia, and possibly following Portia as she unravels Tanya'a death.
> and likely following Portia as she unravels Tanya'a death.
Wait what? Where did he say this? He mentioned that the truth would likely come out about her death, but nothing this specific.
Yeah, more likely to be focused on Greg if they do go the route of chronicling his downfall. No reason for Portia to stay at another White Lotus location.
Or to watch her do some weird investigation thing, and why on Earth would she be in South Asia at a White Lotus doing such an investigation?
I feel like she’s too mousy to be traveling the world trying to uncover the death of her old boss that I don’t think she really liked THAT much.
She assumed she was the guest who drowned and like 10 seconds later moved on and started flirting with Albie lmao
Following Greg?
Where is "southwest" Asia?
Mike White has indicated he would like it set in Japan, which is in East Asia.

Paul Dano
Lol same. In an earlier thread I said he should be a creepy bellhop
Honestly more focus on the location and actors in that location. My favorites BY FAR were the Italian actors this season and I really hope we get more of that next season. I feel like the first season had a tiny bit of a focus on Hawaii but it felt like it could have been anywhere. Season 2 really focused on the regions and love of the locations and it felt so much better.
Not sure who I’d pick but hopefully an entirely new cast. I could see Kristen Bell nailing the comedic timing playing one of the rich asshole guests. Season 2 was so goofy by the end with the murder plotline my biggest hope is that it’s not revisited at all.
If they do that next season too this becomes a show about a chain of murder hotels. Doesn’t it? If that happened irl there would be all kinds of reporting on it. People would sour on the brand.
The newsworthiness of the season 1 murder depends on how famous the White Lotus chain is in that fictional world. But for season 2, yeah, an American multi-millionaire dying while a boat full of dead old money Italians floated nearby, and the “how the hell did that happen?” mystery that resulted would be international news.
I kinda figured that was the point. My favorite part of season 2 was trying to figure out who was going to get killed
They def need to not milk the murder mystery anymore. I would play with the idea of death without it being a straight murder mystery.
I’m hoping Greg is the returning character and he’s at a meditation resort in east Asia seeking some eastern medicine healing for the illness he has
Guilt perhaps?
Maura Tierney. She killed it in The Affair and I’d like to see her do something similar to what Michael Imperioli did in S2.
I miss Justin Theroux
He will be in the White House Plumbers HBO mini series in 2023.
Laura Dern has already been established as Dominic’s wife over the phone, bring her character into the show with their daughter!
Wait, that was her? They got her for two lines??
They used her for the voice but in a later episode you can see on his phone that it isn't Laura Dern.
Ummm the high class gays....
Are mostly dead.
Oops. Spoiler alert.
Halsey and Paul Mescal Or Steve Coogan.
DOUBLE STEVE COOGAN
Playing twins?
Paul Mescal please!
Donald Glover. Or any of the main cast from Atlanta. How great would that be?
Maybe add a little color to the usual class warfare theme.
Kathy Bates
If it has to be a returning character, then Greg obviously. We need to know what happened to the poor widower.
Well he successfully arranged for his wife's murder so probably just fishing and smoking cigars with the boys.
Dude, he just had to go back to Denver for business, he’ll be back in Sicily any day now!
And the people he was going to owe for the murder got blasted. He’s buying the white lotus
I was today years old when I found out Greg can throw a football over them mountains.
I’d love to see Jim Carrey as the guy in charge of the resort
I’d like to see Mike White tbh
FUCK this is the move
macaulay culkin
Porsche vs Greg the final showdown!
This comment makes me want to watch A Fish Called Wanda again
Tilda Swinton, as the hotel manager.
Eric Andre
Hard agree. As in I’m hard.
They’ve been spot on with casting so I’m cool with whoever. HBO casting has historically been crazy good !!
Casey Wilson
Constance Wu as a burnt out resort manager
Paul Mescal and Lana Condor as newlyweds with secrets
Brie Larson and Alison Brie as feuding sisters, Brie’s character could be wealthy and constantly reminding Alison’s of her wealth for petty reasons
Kiki Layne as a holiday maker who somehow gets caught up in everyone’s drama
I need a season with Thandie Newton, Emily Blunt and Kristen Bell
*Thandiwe
Japan
I want a different type of hotel manager, who is completely two-faced. Like exquisite with the guests but horrendously abusive to employees and they turn on him/her. And I want an actor we haven't seen in a role like that.
Anna Gunn
Tom Hiddleston
Eva Green
Rhea Seehorn
Ruth Negga
Samantha Morton
Karl Urban
Ken Watanabe
Stephanie Hsu
Ncuti Gatwa
James Spader
Ian McShane
Viola Davis
Michaela Coel
Maya Erskine
Any of them as the two faced hotel manager. Idk what kind of location, Iceland, New Zealand, New Orleans, IDC.
But give me Josh Groban in the role of the terrible womanizer guest or an incompetent bellhop who frequently gets shit hammered on duty and keeps likes to sing at the lobby piano when he's blackout drunk.
Excellent list! Anna Gunn would be amazing
Tom Green as the front desk.
I was really hoping Jennifer Coolidge would somehow bethe character that survives each season
Parker Posey.
Jack Black.
This makes the most sense because of School of Rock. I’m down.
Bring back Steve Zahn
He was great in s1
Keke Palmer
Jennifer Coolidge. Somehow.
Flashback season.
Or ghost. Or Sopranos-esque dream sequences.
Haunting Greg's dreams.
They should have killed Uncle Rico and saved Jennifer.
Glen Howerton to play a psychopathic douchebag, basically I want Dennis Reynolds in White Lotus. I feel he's the natural progression of that character. Shane to Cam to Dennis.
Nick Offerman
Evan Peters would be interesting
Emile Hirsche
More dong
More poor people. The rich aren’t interesting or relatable.
I find that to be the point of WL. It’s about privileged, mainly white people who are deep down really fucked up and have personal drama they keep private despite their insane wealth. The White Lotus company in itself is a franchise of 5-star resorts. So it’s kinda hard to stray away from that setting and position.
I'd like to see a return to something meaningfully recognizable as satire. I just don't think the show is actually smart or focused enough to say things about topics as big as sexuality and human nature. The whole "sexy murder mystery" thing is the sort of stuff that lights Twitter on fire and generates buzz but ultimately nothing about S2 is especially memorable.
EDIT: Ah shit you said "who." Let's go for more Sopranos alum, Edie Falco.
I'd love Alison Brie alongside Brie Larson for the confusion factor alone. Would also love Milana Vayntrub.
Karen Fukuhara would be great too. In fact, let's just bring the whole cast of The Boys.
Jennifer Coolidge as a character the complete opposite of Tanya. Some ratchet woman that won a stay at a white lotus in a tricky tray or something.
Ski lodge?
Ryan Reynolds. As someone with no sense of humor. Like a depressed man going through a divorce. He’s actually very very good in dramatic roles. He sadly just thinks everyone wants to see him play Deadpool all the time.
John Stamos 😂
Jim Carrey, Tim Robinson, Kim Basinger, Alicia Silverstone
Matt bomber as the hotel manager. He's played some suave characters in the past and it would be cool to have him back in action trying to pull over some type of con on every guest.
Paul Fuckin Giamatti
Christine Baranski
Patti Lupone
Sam Rockwell
Here’s a wee list of people I think would be awesome in one way or another Bill Hader.
Sam Rockwell
Billy Magnussen
Regina Hall
Nathalie Emmanuel
John Francis Daly
Leslie Mann
Craig Robinson
Alia Shawkat
Halle Berry
Joe Maganiello
Bob Odenkirk
Joe Lo Truglio
Anna Camp
Wayne Brady
Lake Bell
Ashton Kutcher
Jordan Peele
Justin Long
Thomas Doherty
Boris Kodjoe
Christin Milioti
Martin Starr
Jonah Hill
I know it probably won’t happen and that their story is probably done but I really loved the 2 couples, Harper and Ethan /Daphne and Cameron. Maybe this could be their “next year trip”. Other than that Portia would be fun if she took a trip with Albie.
Greg getting his comeuppance
I'd like a cast of mostly unknowns, like the first two seasons.
Parker Posey
Id love it to be based in a high-end Australian resort and feature family members of Armond. Would be fun to get some unexpected Australian actors to be involved too, like Eric Bana or Guy Pierce.
More season 1ish
Pedro Pascal and baby Yoda just running around.
Viggo
[deleted]
More perspective navigating complex, nearly taboo, relationships. Loved how non-vanilla this last season was and the surprises that unfolded along the way.
Greg gets what’s coming to him and Portia is Tanya’s heir and daughter
Sandra Oh Keegan Michael Key Tim Heidecker Barbara Streisand
Greg- did he get Tanya’s inheritance then? I want to know what his scheming ass is up to!
Lizzy Caplin and or Adam Brody. Claire Danes would be good too. Just watched the fleishman is in trouble finale…
Daniel Craig! And he solves the mystery in episode 6-7
Keegan-Michael Key
Maggie Gyllenhaal
Anya Taylor-Joy
Max Greenfield
Regina Hall
Jennifer Coolidge. Always and forever.
LaKeith Stanfield
Daniel Radcliffe
Sarah Michelle Gellar
Oh I would love this

Mike White, the creator of White Lotus, is an accomplished actor. I can see him as a Maitre'd who gets dunked on constantly.
Lucia
Steve Harvey in a Jennifer Coolidge type role.
[deleted]
So you want to see her play herself?
Mel Gibson
Denzel
[deleted]
Woody Harrelson
Tom Hardy doing unhinged Tom Hardy sh*t
[deleted]
Greg!!! He’s the only link to season 1. I think they’ll open with his character like they did with Tanya this previous season.
I’d like to see them keep one character and Haley Lu’s seems like a great choice
I would love Margot Robbie. I think Mike white Can write her a good role and he’s been shown to bring great performances when directed well.
If they ever set it in Australia, she could be a local or even the hotel manager.
Walton Goggins
Jeff Bridges as the bartender/resort "therapist"
This may be an unpopular opinion but I really did not like Jennifer Coolidge’s character in the show, even from season 1. She’s a fantastic actor/actress, I just didn’t like the caricature of the character herself.
Full bush
Steven Toast
Aya Cash, Mads Mikkelsen, Carrie Coon.
Gillian Jacobs. I don’t see her enough anymore.
Tony Jaa as a local Muay Thai instructor that Jennifer Aniston Falls in love with on her holiday
Anya taylor joy
Just a better season
Jodie comer
My theory is that season 3 will take place at a White Lotus in heaven - that way Jennifer Coolidge can come back.
Dan stevens
Steve Carell
[deleted]
Casting unknown talent / relatable situations / less artistic camera work and more natural dialogue.
Anything other than the end of season 2
Kanye, owner of the resort
Olivia munn if she goes full frontal
Ewwwww eww ew Brie Larson really? I don’t think she has the talent to pull off that type of role. Hell nah. Nope
Spoken like someone who hasn’t seen room.
You’re not wrong. Talent aside, she’s just too big of a presence for this.
