I could totally see someone with a low tolerance get high to the point where they get in the zone and start cleaning, maybe while they’re listening to music and trying to distract themselves from the anxiety of being uncomfortably high. And then later getting all reflective and in their head about past relationships.

Their description is really not that unbelievable, nor is it anywhere near what actually eating an eight of shrooms would be like

I was glad when I learned omurice was a thing because it made me feel less weird about one of my favorite guilty pleasure dishes: scrambled eggs in rice, with ketchup mixed in so that all of the rice is a light red

Yeah again no offense, but especially with Reddit algorithms for some reason pushing new r/television posts to everyone’s home page recently… I don’t think we really need “PSA” type posts simply announcing the upcoming release of a new TV show.

That’s what those Netflix emails are for lol, not the type of content I come to this sub for (unless it also comes with some more valuable information like casting news or a trailer)

I wasn’t going to say anything but complaining about downvotes is annoying. No offense but the reason why you may have gotten downvotes is because this is a low effort post.

The trailer for this show was at the top of various subreddits, including this one, when it was released a few weeks ago. It looked pretty terrible IMO. I wouldn’t be surprised if some people assumed your post itself was an ad.

I also don’t see how the imminent release of this show, which has already gotten marketed a decent amount, fits the “want to feel old” joke

It feels to me that these types of basic posts always existed, but something about Reddit’s algorithm switched up recently and it’s pushing new posts from r/television and r/movies to people’s home page even though they haven’t really got many upvotes yet.

Whereas before they’d stay buried as new posts that nobody really bothered interacting with unless they were specifically browsing by new

Like even this post, no offense OP but I have no idea why this got pushed to my home page.

Eh, some people are really bad with dates. Maybe it shows he doesn’t care about birthdays, but to assume that means he doesn’t care about his parents at all would be an insane reach when we have so little context about these people…

This is one of the main reasons I deactivated my Facebook lol, I DON’T care about this stuff so I always hated the awkward birthday posts from people I haven’t seen in years and will likely never see in person again. Even when I hid my birthday from being public, I’d still have some family who knew and would post on my wall anyways, which then remind others and lead to these obligatory posts.
