Rewatching the office and just hit the final season. I don’t think I’ve ever seen such a downward spiral in likability of a character in any other piece of media than Andy Bernard. The consensus is that he was working on the Hangover movies during production which was frustrating for the rest of the crew so they made him the most unlikeable POS character possible. Are there any worse examples or even just other interesting examples of this kind of character assassination?
Edit: there is no official statement to back up the idea that the writers assassinated Andy’s character because of the hangover films. Just theorycrafting on the part of the community.
