his actions were inspired by osama bin laden as he praised him in his suicide note.

I was on Accutane twice, 6 months each time. Definitely got warned about emotional and mood side effects, especially as I have clinical depression and anxiety. I managed not to commit any crimes during my treatment. And, as an AFAB person, I had to submit to monthly pregnancy tests and intrusive government monitoring of my uterus.

I was on Accutane for 6 months. It dries your face out to the point where little bits of your face come off. Someone called me the ugliest person they had ever seen during that time. I could see how you would want to kill yourself regardless of any effect on brain chemistry. Six months later, at 16 years old, I’m making out with the hottest girl of this new group my friends met in a closet at a party. My face completely cleared up. I had pretty bad acne and Accutane changed the trajectory of my high school life. I’m glad that it existed when I was in high school, despite the side effects.

Accutane is nasty stuff, while I am thankful for it, it was hell while I was on it and it caused permanent astigmatism in my eyes, almost 20 years later my left eye continues to degrade.

Still worth it.

A skin doctor put my then-22-year-old son on Accutaine some years ago. His personality changed from bright and sunny to morbidly suicidal with fits of frantic head-banging despair.

He was only on it for eight months before I had him stop. It nearly killed him.

He has only slowly recovered now, more than a decade later.
