I disagree. They are beautiful. Have you been in them? NH, VT, NY, ME, NC, TN? They are absolutely a fine wine.

Imo because of the more diverse foliage, they’re more scenic than the Rockies

Yup. Lived in CO for 5 years. The Rockies are special too for various reasons but I prefer the Appalachians for everything else besides skiing.
