You a fly fisherman?

Not many people understand the life cycle of aquatic insects.

It took me awhile to understand that these creatures live as nymphs and simply breed as adults.

No

In the UK animal and plant life cycles are taught in pretty basic science classes

We get overrun by these every year. They land on everything, attracted to light, and then just die there.

They smell like dead fish when you spray them off your house with a hose.

Not much time. They must hatch and then immediately they're like "Ooo, it's a lady."

An adult female? As opposed to a child female? It lives for five minutes lol.

It lives for 5 minutes as an "adult." It lives for a while before that too though.
