We get overrun by these every year. They land on everything, attracted to light, and then just die there.

They smell like dead fish when you spray them off your house with a hose.

Not many people understand the life cycle of aquatic insects.

It took me awhile to understand that these creatures live as nymphs and simply breed as adults.
