Lmao the first paragraph of the wiki basically says although the British heavily outnumbered the Germans their attack was broken up by attacking bees who attacked both sides, it allowed the Germans to capture a bunch of modern equipment and supplies from the British which they then used to successfully defend against the British for the rest of WW1. Making it one of the German forces greatest victories in Africa.

Edit: for context, "tanga" is a word in the language that translates to "dumb"

TIL. The Battle of Tanga also known as the battle of the bees, It is a failed attack on German East Africa by a british indian expeditionary force. The 98th infantry battalion were attacked by swarms of angry bees and broke up. The bees attacked both sides troops hence the name.
