So, where do I send this 20 tons of fireflies I collected over the last 19 years?

I think Joss Whedon's later works kind of prove that firefly getting cancelled was perhaps the best thing to happen to firefly's legacy.

It didn't really work. They renewed it for a second season, but the second season bombed and I believe it's estimated it got far less than 20 million views per episode.

Are you referring to the first Jericho apocalyptic series on Netflix? I loved that show and wish it had continued!

It was a TV show in 2006. Maybe Netflix had it at some point?

Loved that show, glad it was at least able to get some closure after being cancelled with a cliffhanger.

The final episode of the (very short) second season was going to result in the same aftermath, but they filmed two versions of the fate of my favourite character. In the unaired version Hawkins is captured to set up to next part of the storyline - the aired version features him talking with Jake after completing a harrowing and critically vital mission.

I had never heard they shot another ending if they got picked up again. That's neat.

So you're saying that we can get Lovecraft Country back

Don't think Lovecraft Country has the same enthusiasm as Jericho did.

and still they cancelled the show -- just when the story was about to expand -- surprised SciFi didn't pick it up...

I thought the whole "inside job" that seemed to be coming in the story was too close to the conspiracies around 911 and thus they canned it as to not exacerabte that -- or something similar to that thought.

Conspiracy theory about not propagating conspiracy theories -- yay!

My favorite show at the time. I would have sent more nuts if I had a job back then

I wish someone would start this with Timeless. Jericho and Timeless are two of my fav shows I got cheated out of more seasons of.

There was a time travel show called Journeyman and people sent in Rice-a-roni when it got cancelled. Sucks. It was a good show.

It was a good show though, why did they cancel it?
