No we named him after Patrick Stewart who played JL Picard. We chose the actor bc of humanitarian activities and contributions to human race. My kiddo has a very long name as he was named after several good eggs. :) so he’s got a lot of nickname options for when he grows up.

Billions of blue blistering barnacles is a catch phrase for captain haddock, so I couldn't resist when the other redditor suggested you'd chosen captain haddock, over captain Picard
