Tbh, I thought it'd be much higher. Like closer to 90%

Also it’s a bit sad that less than 1% of all profit made from mobile games is from premium games.

I understand why people like the freemium model but honestly most games just try to fleece you either with ads or with a numorus amount of lootboxes, it's better to just pay upfront, then refund if you dislike the game after a day or two.

Seriously, if even 20 percent came from premium games then we'd probably have a ton of third party support on mobile and with enough third party support on mobile we may not be having this push towards cloud which specifically allows games to be played on devices that done support then because companies won't port games to that platform

Another 46% comes from selling ad-removal bundles

The problem with premium games especially on Android is side loading in my opinion. Why bother releasing such game if somebody can upload it on the internet for free?

I love handhelds and would love to have more high quality of games on mobile, but I do not think it will happen in near future.

Not as big of an issue nowadays, most apps have have anti cheat metods in place, or use some form of online validation to check if you bought it or not and lots of cracked apks simply don’t work nowadays.

It's a race to the bottom with the mobile, free-to-play model.
