The article does sound reasonably positive, with findings leading to changes in procedures and some administrative punishments for the issues they found.

I believe they should be handled by an independent review process to eliminate any suspicion of bias or potential conflict of interest. In the absence of that this seems like a reasonable approach so far, but there’s always room for improvement!
