99.9% isopropyl, often sold as electronics cleaner. Not Heady Topper.

unfortunately sugar's solubility in ethanol or isopropyl is... not good.

Definitely need to flush out anything corrosive asap with how small circuit board connectors can be these days compared to even 20 years ago.
