Hi all, my fiancée and I will be in Swanton visiting family for the holidays. Wondering if there is a way to get married at a courthouse in Vermont? The Burlington City Hall website states they do not officiate marriages. Thank you!

You can get a JP for nothing. Ours was great.

This. Every town has several justices of the peace. Any of them can marry you.

I’ve known of weddings to happen at the courthouse on Cherry Street.
