Saturation and contrast going wild here

I tried so hard to adjust my drone to get accurate color but it’s a cheaper drone so it tends to over expose and do strange things with contrast. I’m hoping to save up for a nicer drone for future landscape photos because I’ve found I really enjoy using it!

It’s a Dji mini 2, it was listed in a bunch of blogs as the best drone for under $500, which was the most I could justify spending as a first time drone user. I think it works great, is fairly easy to use, and the camera is good for the price.

Fair enough, I have a weird disdain for drones in public spaces. They’re pretty annoying. That may be where some of my resentment is coming from. Sorry to be a hater! Pretty cool angle.

Yeah that’s totally understandable. I took this on my way to work at 8:15 am in the parking lot for the hiking area so there wasn’t a single person around. I usually just fly it around my property (I live on 15 acres at the end of a private dead end road which abuts forest) but I’m very careful to not be a nuisance with it when I’m off my own land. I don’t want to ruin anyone else’s enjoyment of these peaceful places with the buzzing of the propellers.

Your phone attaches to the controller (which is a lot like an rc car controller if you’ve ever used one of those) which stays on the ground with you. I wouldn’t trust my phone that high up either 😅

Ha I'm the same way, I only fly when I'm absolutely certain there's nobody around or over my own property or friend's property. I'm also afraid of some random person yelling at me for "spying" on them from 400' up even though I'm flying over public areas, and legally can fly anywhere that's not restricted by the faa. So far though the only times I've run into people it was a positive experience; they've loved it and wanted to see the photos.

That’s in Glover right? Orleans County is so under rated, we have so many stunning places up here. Although I don’t mind that not as many people know to come up here, keeps things more local and not as covered in tourists.

We’re been visiting VT twice a year for the last 20 years, we are from PA, we love NEK so much beauty, our home on Parker pond is our second home, but we do spend a lot of our time here, there’s Beaty everywhere, yesterday we spent the day in Stowe, I just love this state.

We’re visiting Cambridge 10/8-10/14 and stopping at Lake Willoughby. Will the leaves still be changing like this? We tried to time it just right.

It’s hard to say for sure. It is supposed to storm tomorrow so it might knock some of the leaves off. I think there should still be plenty of color left though even if it’s past peak.
