I would kindly disagree about Rutland. I'm sure everyone has different values for raising children so maybe Rutland works for them.
But I care about places that are walkable and safe for children to have independence. Rutland isn't that.

I agree. Rutland has always stood out to me as the least Vermont, Vermont city.
