The lights on my Subaru (not high beams) are incredibly bright - I get people flashing their highs at me all the time - I flash them back mine (sounds like a bigger, better story in the making šŸ˜‚). I do it so they realize that Iā€™m not an inconsiderate idiot and also so maybe folx start realizing that lights arenā€™t lamps any more and this is the way of the world now - bright ass lights.

Very likely you need to aim them properly. I'm a big fan of subarus, but I've heard that they often come from the factory misaligned

Thanks for this, my first instinct is to get pissed off but itā€™s nice to know that itā€™s not always intentional and that someone flashing back could be them showing that they arenā€™t brights-ing me

I came here to tell the same story! I make sure to flash back so people donā€™t think Iā€™m a dick lol

Iā€™ve noticed that if you see a car head on with bright lights, but the running lights are also on- itā€™s not the brights. Only if thereā€™s just two lamps - then itā€™s the brights.

I just adjusted my low beams downward. The ā€˜properā€™ way is level for normal low cars. If the top of the beam at the headlight is at 30ā€ at the car, then it should measure the same 30ā€ at a wall 20ā€™ ahead. This works in flat areas, but leads to lots of blinding on our hills. It only takes one turn of the 6mm hex adjustment socket to make them just right.

They're being blinded and you flash your brights, making it worse, to prove you're not as ass. Think about that.

Ofc someone who uses the word "folx" without a hint of irony would drive around with obnoxiously aimed lights
