The dog tried, but they weren’t biting.

When I was a kid in the seventies, turkeys were pretty much nonexistent.

Why honey bees? These bees are not native to North America and are actually detrimental to our local ecosystem because they crowd out native bee/pollinator populations.

Same with Hawks and other large birds of prey that are prevalent now. DDT wreaked havoc on these birds for a generation and they are only now coming back en masse.

I just took this photo! There about as many out of frame. Funny thing was they've been around all summer, but we hadn't seen them since last week. Obviously laying low until it was safe. 🦃

Whoops, didn’t realize photo comments don’t show (or mine didn’t attach). Anyway, same scene here!

If you've ever seen any eco horror movies, you'd feel something other than humor. Sure, it starts off seemingly innocent enough. But ends with you trapped in your home at the dinner table, stuffed turkey and food plated, with ravenous wild turkeys, converging on you from all directions.

I’ve always wondered if these turkeys would even recognise the meat-farm turkeys as their own kind.

Lol we had a similar experience. I figured it was a good Thanksgiving omen. I have this one monster Tom who's always in the gaggle. My dog loses his mind.

They are adorable, aren’t they! We enjoy them. But they’re taking over in my childhood friend’s Boston suburban neighborhood. A flock of them hangs out in her driveway and threaten her when she tries to step off her back steps and get into her car! I laughed until I read somewhere that urban turkeys are desperate, and they can turn vicious

These guys have been all around this year. Seems like no one wants to eat em this year.

What a ballsy way to say "you pose me zero threat." On today of all days. Lol
