Jericho Counties flag is the Vermont flag.
Gomez - character, Jericho Guzman - actor, Cabot
His son went to Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, NY. I found out last night.
Green license plates on cars, references to Burlington being half an hour away.
But not much like Jericho VT tbh.
Wrong references too lol. He said "theres a station in Burlington its half an hour away" There's no train station in Burlington, its in Essex Junction and its probably 15 minutes from Jericho lol
Haven't seen the show, but Burlington does indeed have an active Amtrak station now. The Ethan Allen Express was extended from Rutland to Burlington this past July.
Damn missed that, haven't lived up there since 2020. About time they got one!
It was filmed in Transylvania. Nothing was filmed in actual VT.
Lol they are flipping back and forth between "Jericho is tiny and has no amenities" and "Jericho is the size of Burlington (or at least Rutland)"
Like so they have no taxis and train station, but apparently the mayor of Jericho is so powerful the mere mention of him scares the Sheriff and they have a fair lol.
Did anyone else try to figure out the pilgrim's relationship to Jericho VT? I was like hmm. And the sign said est in the 1600s and I think Jericho vt was later?
The town in the series was founded in 1625, which would have been just a few short years after 1620 when the Pilgrims settled in Plymouth, Massachusetts.
Jericho’s links to the Pilgrims are strong as the town has its own attraction dedicated to them, known as Pilgrim World.
In Wednesday, the town was founded by a man named Joseph Crackstone who has an ancient link with the Addams Family’s ancestors.
I understand the plot of Wednesday, and enjoyed it, thanks for explaining the fiction part. These two facts about actual Jericho made me question the above:
The Browns were the first European family to settle in Jericho, in 1774, building a cabin near the Browns River.[6] https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jericho,_Vermont
It seemed like they could have used a town with a stronger pilgrim connection. Also, it was weird they changed the est. date. But, it's not like most people know much about VT anyways, just seemed like a weird town to pick.
When they approached Pilgrim World, I thought of Plymouth, MA.
>Jericho is a town in Chittenden County, Vermont, United States. As of the 2020 census, the population was 5,104. The town was named after the ancient city of Jericho.

I’m already running tours. DM for details.
?? Elaborate pls.
Its a show on Netflix that takes place in a fictional Jericho Vermont.
Jericho isn't fictional, just the faking that it was filmed there.
Or, a fictional jericho.
The Jericho we see in Wednesday is a fictionalized take on the real-life town of Jericho, Vermont.
Jericho’s name is taken from the ancient city of the same name which was founded around 9600 BCE and is believed to be one oldest cities in the world.
Located in the Jordan Valley, the original Jericho features in the bible as it was the first city conquered by the Israelites after crossing the Jordan River into the Promised Land.
Thanks to its presence in the bible, Jericho has inspired the naming of towns all over the world, most notably a small town in Vermont which is the town where Wednesday is supposedly set. We see several cars bearing Vermont license plates while the nearby town of Burlington also features briefly in the series.
Where the real and fictional Jerichos differ, however, is that the real town was first settled by a European family called the Browns in 1774, almost 150 years after the town in Wednesday was supposedly established by Joseph Crankstone in 1625. source
Jericho is fictional for sure. Snowflake Bentley is made up. MMU is really in Underhill. Essex is bigger than you think.
Jericho, VT really does exist. I live in VT.
I didnt realize until I saw the sheriff's license plate is Vermont
So they're defiling the Vermont flag by using it to represent a fictional Jericho?
I mean, if you're not going to shoot it in Vermont, stop using our state as a simple backdrop.
Do you approve of filming in Vermont and pretending to be Rhode Island?
God I gotta watch that movie again soon. So good. The scene with the cow was filmed in my town.
