It definitely matters and people have the right to ask if the keys were in the car. If the keys were there it’s likely a crime of opportunity. If there were no keys present then it’s an actual car thief that wanted that vehicle specifically.

Yes there is a huge difference between a crime of opportunity and a targeted theft. Why are you getting so mad at people asking questions?

I'm not mad, it's just insanity. I'd love to see more effort put into why crime has increased so drastically in recent years rather than categorizing what type of car thief it was.
