Some years ago I was in Banda Aceh, the town on the tip of Sumatra where the 2004 tsunami made first landfall. They have a tsunami museum there, and a generator ship that used to be in the harbor is also maintained as a monument where the tsunami dropped it - some two or three kilometers inland on top of a house.
