Does carjacking mean different things to different people? All the suggestions are anti-theft not anti carjacking tips

Right, I saw that too. You're still gonna get punched the face first before the jacker realizes it's a manual, and potentially get harmed again for wasting time.

Maybe you could put some big signs on your car doors that say it's a manual, but you might still get punched anyways.

I mean we risk getting punched even when we are no car and riding the metro

I would rather get punched on the metro than be in an accident

Source: I've been punched on the metro and in a car accident.

Well to be fair my tip (have a push start and keep the job in your pocket) is an anti-carjacking tip

But isn’t the car still drivable if you step away while it’s running?

It’s drivable until you shift gears. And then it becomes very undriveable.

My car yells an awful lot if the fob leaves the car, so you better have a good 40 time or you're still gonna be hit again.

I think so -- in my book it involves actually threatening someone and taking the vehicle. Not crimes of opportunity like jumping behind the wheel of a car someone was dumb enough to leave running unattended. Seems like current parlance is just about every auto theft is a carjacking.
