You were not in traffic; you were the traffic.

Well, well, well if it isn’t the consequences of your own actions

That’s weird, there was plenty of parking at the Greenbelt station where your car belonged

Next time park at the Metro station and skip the parking hassle.

If only there were some way you could have predicted this might happen…

So your complaining because you were the problem?

Yep clearly should have closed that whole area to traffic and forced transit + circulator/shuttle buses.

Sounds like a shitty way to spend a beautiful sunday.

For real. Sunday was incredible, and all these putzes spent it breathing exhaust from inside their Dodge Caravans. What a waste.

Drove into just north of the tidal basin in 12 min today found parking no problem then walked around for an hour then went home. Lunch break blossoms > whatever mess y’all did yesterday.

I took the Metro down, got off at L’Enfant and had a very pleasant walk to the tidal basin on a gorgeous day.

I'm sorry that happened to you! The National Cherry Blossom Festival is one of the BIG events in DC. They are recommending if you MUST drive, using spot hero to reserve a parking space. Metro is definitely the best option though! Next time you come into DC on a busy day, avoid driving if at all possible 🙂 Coming up, April 15 will be another crazy traffic day due to the parade
