Anyone have recommendations on getting the best deal on Wizards tickets? I’m wanting to go to one of the upcoming games, doesn’t need to be a good seat. My default is to buy them on a website like Stubhub, but don’t know if people have found success in other places, like last minute at the door or something. Thanks!

Ticket prices on stubhub/ticketmaster/seatgeek all drop about an hour before tip-off. Usually my friends and I just go park at a bar on game nights and buy cheaper tickets then. Been able to get into the 100s for like $30 that way. Can get into the 200s for like $15.

Done this a lot. Only time the prices don't really budge is when they're playing a high-profile team like the Warriors, Lakers, etc.

I buy last minute tickets to games fairly often and I’ve never seen them drop as low as you mention. I’ll try in an hour or so for tonight’s game too, but think your estimates are off a bit. There’s no way anything in the 100s is going to be less than $60, even for the Pacers game

Yeah, I forgot to say weekend games can be a bit of a crapshoot. But right now it looks like you get two tickets behind the basket in 116 for $35 each.

200s are still high right now, though--$50ish.

Yeah I stand corrected. Sorry, when I think 100s I always aim for the six “main” sections on the sides of the court, vs around and behind the baskets.

Either way, agreed that waiting right before tip gets the best deals

Hate watching the Lakers? Curious if the Grizzlies are still possible with your strategy? It’d be cool to Ja Morant fly

Hah, does anyone enjoy watching the Lakers right now?

Pre-Ja Grizzlies used to be an absolute steal. Now it's probably not gonna work. I think I saw them last year for a decent price though--like $40 for one of the front rows in a 400 corner.

Big stars always spike prices. Happened with the Hawks and Trae Young. Hell, I remember seeing the Bucks for like $8.

Probably cheapest games now are Jazz, Rockets, Kings (you get the idea).

Can confirm that this doesn't work for Knicks games either.

Knicks, Celtics, lakers. Doesn’t matter where in the county you are; these tend to be the most in demand.

I’ve found better deals on Ticketmaster than on stubhub. But if you don’t mind sitting in the 400 level you can probably find tickets for around 15 bucks. They get even cheaper in winter if the team plays poorly (meaning they’re going to get even cheaper)

In years past, they would give free chipotle (or something similar) with the cost of like a $10 ticket.

Wizards tickets aren't that expensive generally since they're not that popular of a team (but a hot start this season! Let's go Wiz!). I paid $11 (so like $20 with fees) for a Saturday night game against the Jazz last season. 400 level mid-court.

There are bigger games throughout the season but the Pacers game tonight I'm seeing tickets at $25 with the fees included (one reason I like Seat Geek. If I have to pay the fees at least I see the price uprfront)

Anyway I like Seat Geek. If there are cheaper tickets out there it won't be by much.

I use GameTime and they usually have the cheapest tickets out of all the resale sites

Try on the official website. You might find good deals.

The box office? It’s not like the games are sold out.

If the games aren't sold out, then the secondary market is often going to beat the box office.

Does everything still end up going through the Monumental app?

I usually buy tix on StubHub and then end up getting routed through that 3rd (4th?) party app

If you're going to eat and drink, call them and see if they still have the all inclusive deals, you get the seats you want based on price and also all you can eat/drink. It's a great deal for a couple at what was like $140 for cheap seats +++.

I know it sounds like a lot, but you can combine the cost of the outing it's very reasonable and you get a cool vip-like area in the building to hang out and have fun too.

TickPick has some cheap options too. I went to see them play the Heat last season when the Heat were flying into the playoffs and even those were cheap and easy to get.

Cheapest? Mug someone outside the arena and steal their tickets.
