The DC Overheard District (OHD) account on Instagram does giveaways for this purpose. If you can’t sell them, but don’t want the tix to go to waste, You can contact the account admin and they’ll post the tickets for giveaway in the stories; first come, first served. To be clear, this is for FREE giveaway. They do not facilitate selling tickets.

i tried through ticketmaster and it gave me a message that said resale wasn’t authorized by the event organizers

so I am just stuck with them? that’s terrible practice. if they wanted to cut down on scalpers they could just limit the resale price to face value. this policy just seems like a good way to piss people off.

it wasn’t super clear to me since i guess until recently they had an official ticket exchange called lyte or something similar. either way, i still think it’s a pretty screwed up policy. i get wanting to cut down on scalping but this also alienates people who just had things come up. especially since they could just refund me and take the tickets back. well in the future i know not to buy tickets from 930 ahead of time. not that i’m incentivized to try coming back.

also if they only do it for shows that they think will sell out why is kimbra literally not sold out two full months after the tickets went up. like sorry i assumed the policies didn’t change since the last time i went there…maybe if you yell at more people online they’ll put you on payroll as the Ticket Master

Try a DC Facebook group or try reselling them on the event Facebook page - even Twitter or Gametime app

tried to post them on FB and apparently that’s against the rules now. no ticket sales allowed!
