India allies itself with whomever benefits them economically at the time.

Don't think for a second that they don't immediately swap sides if axis/allies are formed

Does India know about this? It seems to me that they just want to suck dry the military tech know-how of Russia at the moment, before they would collapse.

Also, if allies defend each other, Chima surely is not one as they would sooner take East-Siberia than openly send arms to Russia. East-Siberia has everything China needs right now: space, water (in Lake Baikal), oil, gas, alongside unrestricted access to the sea of Japan and to the Pacific Ocean as well.
