Maybe, but a 1-2% difference isn't very meaningful, especially when you factor in census marigns of error, and how wildly census methods and degrees of accuracy vary between countries.

1%-2% is the difference between a political party coming to power or not. Wasn't BRitexit "won" by a 2% majority? Id there are more voting women than men does this mean we live in matriarchy?

In terms of NZ. Basically, what the commenter was trying to express didn't require acknowledgement of the rest of the world.
