You're moving to Ghetto Square? Do you want to get robbed and live around a bunch of homeless people and criminals? Why?

Because it's close to the train. Spouse can't drive.

I love how when someone suggests something other than the square, it's always someplace that is far away from a station AND has higher rent.

I also doubt it's as dangerous as you let on. If walking a few minutes to the train station was that dangerous then nobody would live there.

I've lived in Yonkers my whole life, what do I know? There's another train line on the complete opposite side of Yonkers in a nicer area too. If you want to live in the worst part of Yonkers go for it. If you want to live by where all the homeless sleep more power to you.The waterfront is a joke of a place. By where I live in south Yonkers it's a 20 minute train ride to Manhattan. If you take the train North you have Bronxville Tuckahoe, Scarsdale, White Plains. Way nicer than where you're looking. The side of Yonkers where you're looking has all the projects and all the crime.

Sounds pretty pessimistic. Here's to hoping I don't die.

I'm not being pessimistic I'm being honest. I've been in those neighborhoods and it's not pretty. I'd search around Bronx River Road, Woodlawn or a little further North. Were you looking at one of those luxury apartments on the waterfront?

I'm looking at anything in the ~2500 range that accepts Insurent as a guarantor. I think some were on the waterfront.

I figured. You have plenty to work with. Bronxville is great for couples and families
