I think you either need a slotted pipe, with a carriage that rides inside; or a pipe with brackets to mount it and a ring that goes more that 1/2 way around it. I can't see a realistic way to implement it. Your other option is an electric dog fence. These are popular for a reason. You pick any area, bury the wire, and the dog (once trained, stays in.

Or at least cut the bolts flush with the nuts. And washers under the nuts, but not under the head of carriage bolts, which have a square shank to resist turning in the wood, so you can tighten the nuts.

After looking and reading I have one question: Why? If it's just that it's dirty and has seams and screws... It's a garage, not your living room. Paint it if you want, but beyond that you'd be spending a LOT of money and time... for what real purpose? So you can say "Look at my beautiful garage?" My suggestion: Put the time and money into living quarters.

While I'm NOT suggesting you DIY it.. But as a guy who did some stained glass work 50 years ago as a hobby, side income... It really isn't all THAT hard. Put word out (craigslist?) looking for someone who has done stained glass work. (And see some of their work, don't just take their word that they can do it!) Or just find a repair shop that does them. As others have said, nice door/entryway. It deserves to get fixed, not swapped out for some ugly door/window.

If you have an extension cord that will reach, try plugging string A into outlet B, and vice versa. See if problem follows lights or outlet. Are these LED lights? I installed an LED fixture in my garage and it would trip the GFI.. had to take it out. Never figured out issue.or some reason

Agree. No 'problem' to do it. Note that, as shown in diagram, adjacent joists should be doubled to meet code. (If you didn't double them, would it fall down, probably not, but it might me more bouncy walking there than if you did it right.)

Well, not an Apple employee here, and seeing this (in this form at least) for the first time. OK, maybe 'motivating' isn't the word that applies. I mean reading it I see some of myself (more the troublemaker and misfit parts. :-) And I've already been motivated to live my life the way "I" think I should. But reading it is at least helpful to continue to give me strength to continue the fight for what I think is the right way. So, to me, at least a positive message.
