Reply to Street Parkers who brought beautiful new cars… are you happy with you purchase? by aranhalaranja
2 new cars, street parked last 6 years in West and now Fishtown. Few scratches here and there but worthwhile in exchange for a reliable car.
Don’t be an idiot and park hanging over corners etc

I live 3 blocks from here. I find a spot in front of my house (well on the same street) 90% of the time I get home and the furthest I’ve ever had to park is maybe 3 blocks. Get a permit and you’re fine

So we just temporarily build huge parking infrastructure until public transportation is “safe” and then we bulldoze that new parking infrastructure to build housing?

Such a weird headline and article. It’s not like they’re leaving the city to open in the suburbs — they’re just expanding. I guess we’re not supposed to want Philly small businesses to succeed outside the confines of the city limits? Again, super weird gatekeeping.
And you’re absolutely right, I see La Colombe all across the country.

Why are successful brands expanding? Is that the question?

So when this is all said and done I can't just open my Apple Wallet and tap my phone on the gate like everywhere else in the developed world?

Nobody tell this guy the rental vacancy rate in the city is still ~2.6% even with the insane amount of rental development going on.
“Tons” of vacant units just isn’t the case. Your point about diminishing middle income housing is absolutely true but this is a luxury apartment building essentially in Rittenhouse so not sure what anyone thought would be going there.
