Absolutely. Added regulation and costs will be passed onto the end users, people struggling to pay their bills already. Rents go up, fewer can afford them. These fools will cripple the same people they claim to be helping and few will take the time to realize it.

Glad you got to see my post before some of the panhandlers & beggars on this sub saw it. There's a ton of violence, shootings, stabbings, muggings etc. downtown. It's a simple fact that a lot of crime is concentrated there. I just wouldn't ever get caught late there. Like I said, there's a lot of bias on this sub and a seemingly large number of homeless people(I didn't realize this was such a popular place for them until recently) and non homeless people that have their own opinions. To each their own!

You don't appear to be coping with it healthily. You might consider moving to a more peaceful, tolerant country with solid gun laws, like Mexico. Guns are not allowed there and they have excellent law enforcement and ZERO gun crime.

Or just keep finding a way to get by in this country, where it is as awful as you describe.

Downtown is on the decline. It sounds like you didn't go there, and aside of downtown, I think crime isn't too bad

The mid range housing would go on the north side st the development the nimbys up north are fighting!!! The need is great, but even north siders think they're too good for modest housing!!!

It will never be enough for the nimbys here. They would like to treat the homeless, many of who aren't from here, better than the law abiding, tax paying citizens. They're not able to realize that without law abiding, tax paying citizens that helping them at all would not be possible.

Dental schools often do work on the super cheap. Not sure where the closest one is, but I'd bet you would save the most there. You also can have them removed without being sedated to save money. I did it that way and it was not bad at all
