Tough this time of year. Yale U has many interesting sports teams, so does Albertus Magnus and SCSU. Kids like going to basketball games etc. My favorite is watching Squash, the Yale Whale for Hockey.

Edgerton Park greenhouses

Brooksvale Park in Hamden has chickens horses sheep etc and a playground.

Whalley Ave is worse IMO. I loathe Whalley Ave; begins innocently enough as you exit downtown, immediate congestion near Dwight St., rips open like a highway by Stop & Shop only to be shafted by 5 lights covering .6 miles. Chaos abounds from the Boulevard to Osborn, cruise by the graveyard until we screech to a halt entering “downtown Westville” aka the Worst. Red lights, phantom merges, turn only lanes, buses, pedestrians, etc. At worst it’s a crawl from the Mitchell Library to Amity, at best it sucks. Not bike friendly at all but I have seen a few sickos try. Probably top 5 street for pedestrians being hit every year. Everyone uses the Valley St route to avoid Whalley. I also use the Amity Liquor parking lot to cut over to 63.

Tangential comment, but my parents often complain that I will have no community because my generation doesn’t go to church every Sunday. A place you regularly see people, even if you don’t talk to them, you recognize them at the grocery store and say hi. I just can’t get down with the Catholic church / most religions, but I kind of agree with them.

I didn’t take it for most of my life, so I face the feeling of dependence head on and try to be mindful of my actions & thoughts. I definitely benefit from taking the medication, but I could live without it.
